The free (default) version supports one (1) slave device, and is typically used for bench testing and trouble-shooting. However, with purchase of a $995 User License (unlock code) it will support up to 255 slave devices, making it useful as an inexpensive HMI on cost-sensitive customer systems. It can be set up with engineering-unit values and labels, as well as alarm levels and numerous other options.
